No. Our tours are all scheduled around specific tides to ensure the visibility of the dinosaur trackways. This tide time changes every day so each day we are touring at a different time of the day. This means some days we have morning tours, some days we have afternoon tours.  And on some days low tide occurs both in the morning and the afternoon so we can run morning tour and afternoon tours. The World War II Plane Wreck Tours are only schedule on a very low tide when the Wrecks are visible so that passengers can get off the boat to explore them. This very low tide only occurs approximately 18 times (in daylight) per year. The Hovercraft has long been an iconic part of Broome and we are very proud as a family to have been able to offer the very unique tour to the world for over 20 years. Since Covid started in March 2020 the hovercraft has not operated. Initially due to the fully enclosed space of the hovercraft and state government restrictions, namely the 4 square meter rule and 1.5m social distancing. She was due to return to service in April 2021 however we were enjoying the boat tours so much more, and all of our customers that had been on the hovercraft, and returned to do our new boat tours, all raved about the boat and loved it even more! The open aired nature of the boat allows you to really be one with nature, you can hear it, see it more clearly, smell it and feel it! Our boat tours really reconnect you with nature. The hovercraft won’t be returning to commercial service in Broome tourism, but we encourage you to see what everyone is raving about and book our boat tours today.
